We have a dart board & pool table. By prior arrangement we can provide Karaokee & quizes. We also have local musicains playing live music. A croquet set and swing ball is available on request. Not to mention Aunt Sally.
Aunt Sally is a game played almost exclusively in Oxfordshire with pubs from the neighbouring counties of Gloucestershire and Warwickshire also included in the local leagues.
The game is played by throwing wooden batons at a wooden skittle known as the 'dolly' which is placed on a metal stand some 10 yards from the throwing line, 'hockey'. The score is only counted if the dolly is knocked off without the baton hitting the metal stand. The dolly is usually white, about 6 inches tall and almost 3 inches in diameter, whilst the batons are 18 inches long and two inches in diameter.
